Not the prettiest picture, but trust me on this one: it’s tasty.
I’m not sure why I chose this tea as my first tea review of the year: Ceylon Star by DavidsTea. Maybe the gorgeous star anise reminds me of fireworks and the huge slivers of coconut leave nothing to be desired
This tea currently lives in the kitchen cupboard… I’ve run out of space in my tea storage corner. Perhaps drinking more tea should be one of the New Years Resolutions… but I think I would prefer to have more people over for tea parties!
The Hunger Games is finally on Netflix, so I’m watching it. Late in the game, I know – but it’s actually not half bad. I think the tea is making it better though.
Ceylon Star is smooooth as a baby butt. No joke. I love the sweet smell, like a chocolate coconut macaroon. The taste is not as sweet at the confection (I’m drinking it straight), but it does remind me of letting a Lindt chocolate melt on my tongue. The coconut adds smoothness but doesn’t overpower. Usually ceylons aren’t my tea of choice – I find them too bright and lemony for my liking – this tea is definitely an exception. The flavour is grounding, the white chocolate coats the tongue and it’s very soothing.
The perfect companion for a movie night at home in the winter!
